ABHANERI STEP WELL(CHAND BAORI)---INDIAS LARGEST STEPWELL
If you are coming from agra or going to agra from jaipur you will find a small village called sikandra on the main highway from there near about 6-7 km called a small village abhaneri . This chand baori or abhaneri was built by raja chand in eight century .It is belived that this chand baori was built only in one night , this baori is unique example of symmetry ,it is belived that if ones you go down on stepwell and try to come back your feet will not be able to step on the same steps even film actor govinda accepted this .
This Baori(STEPWELL) should be more promoted in tourism now govt has sanctioned 50 crores to develop this baori, kindly check News paper picture which i shot from Danik Bhaskar dated 6/4/15
